100% wool from our Border Leicester, Blue Faced Leicester, and Romney crosses. Their fleece is lustrous, long growing, and curly.  While not the softest wool, which is generally reserved for the fine wool breeds like Merino and Cormo, it has lovely sheen and wears well with little pilling. All yarn is custom spun and dyed for us by Battenkill Fibers in Greenwich, New York. They pindraft the fiber prior to spinning which further aligns the fibers for softer and smoother yarn. This process shows off the natural luster of the longwool fleeces.  I hope you enjoy creating with this locally produced yarn.
